NHPC Apprentice Online Form 2025-Selection Process
1. Merit-Based Shortlisting (No Interview or Exam)
- Graduate Apprentices:
- 60% weightage → Graduation marks
- 20% weightage → 12th-grade (or Diploma if both are available)
- 20% weightage → 10th-grade marks
- Diploma Apprentices:
- 70% weightage → Diploma marks
- 30% weightage → 10th-grade marks
- ITI Apprentices:
- 70% weightage → ITI marks
- 30% weightage → 10th-grade marks
2. Priority Considerations
If candidates have identical merit scores, preference is given based on the following hierarchy:
- Candidates from Project-Affected Families at the specific NHPC unit
- Residents from the same district as the NHPC project
- Residents of the same State/UT
- Others, in order of overall merit
3. Document Verification
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents, including:
- Educational certificates
- Proof of age and identity
- Category/reservation certificates (if applicable)
- Any other required documentation
4. Medical Examination
- Following document verification, candidates must undergo a medical fitness check as per the norms of the Apprentices Act, 1961
